CiviCRM for *Contact* Management, WordPress for *Content* Management

Out of the box, WordPress provides an easy way to publish content on your website, including blogs, news, events, and programs. There are also a wide variety of plugins that can create a feature-rich website, meeting your needs to engage visitors. I am a consultant who specializes in supporting both WordPress website development, and CiviCRM implementation, and am often called upon to build out featureful websites and create user-friendly, efficient data structures to manage contacts. I'll show you to how to engage with visitors using CiviCRM around the content published on your WordPress website.

Since the beginning of 2012 CiviCRM has been available for use within WordPress. It's the best of both worlds in one place. You can publish new content about your organization with ease using WordPress. Plus you can capture visitors' information automatically update their contact profile in CiviCRM. This means you can see how a specific contact interacted with your organization over time. It is exciting because it accomplishes in one step what used to be three!
This workhop is ideal for organizations that may have a WordPress website or are thinking about using WordPress for their website and want to find new ways of engaging and communicating with visitors. This an introductory training. No experience with WordPress or CiviCRM is needed, and this may be too basic for seasoned users.
