A session to explore how you can get information out of CiviCRM

  • Using CiviCRM Advanced Search and Results
  • Customising CiviCRM Reports
  • Creating New Report Extensions
  • maybe more......

We'll also be looking at CiviStats going forwardOver the past few years working with CiviCRM users often ask for reporting around key performance indicators, questions like

  • How many new news letter subscribers have I had on a month by month basis over the past 12 months?
  • How many donors are we getting month to month?
  • Is my membership growing and if so how and where?
  • How are my campiagns affecting growth geographically?
  • etc etc

So you can see the questions are often varied and CiviCRM often struggles to answer all of the questions. The module we are working on is based around some key principles such as Recency Frequency and Monetary information but also a neat idea proposed by Owen from Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. His  proposition was to build the stats module on groups i.e. let the user determine what they wish to measure by creating the relevant groups and let CiviStats keep a record of thats groups membership over a period of time. This allows every organisation to determine what they wish to measure with a central set of reporting on the information collected.
