CRM Core & CiviCRM: Someone actually did that

In 2009, there were some discussions going on around the beneifts of migrating CiviCRM over to Drupal. Someone actually worked on that problem, and it lead to some interesting results. 

This session focuses on the CRM Core project. It is a tool for building your own CRM systems on top of the Drupal platform. It possesses a framework that allows developers to build and share their own modular, portable features which can be brought together to build more useful systems for tracking contacts. 

Attendees can expect answers to the following questions:

  • What does CRM Core actually do?
  • How is CRM Core structured? What can you build with it?
  • Lessons learned - why CMS and CRM are very different things.
  • How CRM Core and CiviCRM relate - the common DNA between each projects.
  • I'm okay, you're okay - how CRM Core and CiviCRM can work together to do more interesting things on the web.
